National Optoelectronic Energy Materials International Joint Research Center was approved as a national platform in 2016. Relying on provincial platforms such as Yunnan International Joint Laboratory of Optoelectronic Information Materials and Yunnan Engineering Technology Research Center for Photocatalytic Treatment of Industrial Wastewater, It is jointly established with the Energy Efficiency Research Centre of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Cambridge, The Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Toronto, school of Applied Science and Engineering, Harvard University and other internationally renowned scientific research institutions. The National Joint Research Center for Optoelectronic Energy Materials currently has 1 academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering, 1 Canadian first-class professor, 2 overseas distinguished professors of Yunnan University and other outstanding researchers, among whom more than 10 have overseas study experience/work experience. The center focuses on the three research directions of organic/inorganic semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices, optical functional materials, photovoltaic and energy storage materials. In the early stage, the center invented C60 composite nanomaterials and low drive voltage organic light-emitting diode, and successfully developed the world's first infrared-visible light converter. And developed silicon based quantum dots, quantum wires and other nanomaterials prepared by low-cost magnetron and ion beam sputtering equipment and infrared detectors - infrared fire alarm. In recent 5 years, he has made outstanding joint research achievements in Nature, Science, Nature Mater. And published more than 100 papers in famous academic journals at home and abroad, and applied for more than 30 intellectual property rights at home and abroad.
