Chengjun Dong completed his Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering at the Jilin University in 2013, during which he was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to study in Collins research group at University of California, Irvine (UCI) from 11/2011 to 2/2013. Since 2013, he joined the faculty at Yunnan University to start his own research in nano-materials and their applications in environment and electrochemistry. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal papers and has been invited to be a reviewer for many prestigious international journals.

Areas of Concern

Chengjun Dong’s research focuses on the synthesis of functional materials (metal oxides, hydroxides, metal sulfides, metal phosphide, carbon materials, etc.) and their applications in environment and electrochemistry. Diverse strategies have been used to synthesize unique structures for excellent performances in gas sensors, microwave absorption, supercapacitor, electrocatalysis and so forth. Very recently, the MOFs derived architectures are his research interest as well.
